High blood pressure is common these days, due to lifestyle. High blood pressure – Blood pressure is the force of blood in your arteries so you need to maintain BP right to function smoothly.

What is blood pressure range?

Normal: Less than 120 over 80 (120/80)
Systolic blood pressure. The top number represents the pressure in your blood vessels when your heart beats.
Diastolic blood pressure. The bottom number represents the pressure in your blood vessels between beats.

Normal: Less than 120 over 80 (120/80)
Elevated: 120-129/less than 80
Pre-hypertension: 130-139/80-89
Stage 2 high blood pressure: 140 and above/90 and above

Causes of High Blood Pressure

Being overweight or obese
Lack of physical activity
Too much salt in the diet
Too much alcohol consumption (more than 1 to 2 drinks per day)

Family history of high blood pressure
