ISRO has called of the much-awaited Chandrayaan 2 Moon mission at less than an hour before the launch citing technical difficulties in the launch vehicle. Revised launch dates are to be announced soon.

Chandrayaan 2 launch has been called off by ISRO! Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) had to abort its second mission to Moon ahead of the lift off. Chandrayaan-2 on board GSLVMkIII-M1 was scheduled to launch at 2.51 am but the countdown was stopped 56 minutes and 24 seconds before lift off at 1.55 am. ISRO has cited “technical snag”

A technical snag was observed in launch vehicle system at T-56 minute. As a measure of abundant precaution. Isro does not want to take any chance as it has spent nearly Rs 1,000 crore on the mission and put years of hard work on on the second moon programme.
