Coronavirus update: Number of cases jumps to 753, 20 Deaths in India

Indian Govt says, there are 753 total cases and 20 deaths.

Indian Govt says, there are 43 total cases, out of which 40 are active cases of COVID-19. 4 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported since yesterday – 1 from Ernakulum, Kerala, 1 from Delhi, 1 from Uttar Pradesh and 1 from Jammu.

Sanjeeva Kumar, Special Secretary (Health), Union Health Ministry: One more #COVID19 case in Delhi (resident of Uttam Nagar) has been confirmed, taking the total number of positive cases in the country to 31. The patient has a travel history from Thailand & Malaysia.

The International Society for Krishna Consciousness (Iskcon) temple management in Vrindavan has banned the entry of foreigners in temple, as per reports.

Out of the 28 positive coronavirus cases in India, 16 are Italians. A 69-year-old Italian tourist was found infected in Jaipur yesterday and now his wife and 14 other tourists and and Indian driver who traveled with them have also been found positive.

Over 3,000 people are now dead in China from the coronavirus outbreak, health officials said on Thursday. President Xi Jinping warned of the epidemic escalating outside the epicentre of Hubei province as more people travel and crowds gather across the country.

Xi’s word of caution comes in the backdrop of the outbreak seemingly slowing on the Chinese mainland even as it rapidly spreads globally.
